My New Toy
OK so this isnt craft related, exactly....
But I got a new toy. I FINALLY got me one of those Gazelles, that Tony Little is always hawking at 5:00a.m.
After finally putting it together....That was a workout in itself, I am on my way to hopefully reversing my diabetes and getting my blood pressure under control.
See I don't do Drs. I have very little use for most Drs.
Some are ok and neccessary, like my daughter orthopedic. I needed him to reset her arm, and he is a nice person. Not like the aggressive snot I saw last yr, who through drugs at me without testing me.
Did I mention? My mother died at the hands of those who were supposed to heal her.
I listen to these drug commercials on tv with all their scare-or-ism...*OOOO You have this disease or that disorder*...I see them know in all their wisdom telling young woman to take these drugs to stop their periods for months at a time.....*HELLO? GOD and Nature designed us to have a period every 28 days...Just like the Lunar cycles... IDIOTS!*
I digress.
Anyway...I am a holistic practioner. I have learned the link between nutrition/environment and illness. I am always learning. Nobody knows more about MY body then me. After having Drs. dismiss me , laugh me out of their offices , and treat me like crap, I have decided to make my body MY Responsibility.
So dear readers.... I need your prayers, your words of encouragement, and anything else you can throw at me...LOL... I need to take this weight off so I can live a lil longer.

Mid Week Chatter
Ok it is slightly past midweek, it is Thursday, dinner time....
Remember those bowls i just did with clay?
Well I got a brain storm... I have been seeing a lot of crafts lately utilizing Tissue paper, and in fact was experimenting with tissue paper on the backs of my paper mache bowls... I decided to try this to see if I could get some difference...
It is an interesting look. I need to hit it with another layer of glue or maybe some linseed oil to strengthen it. Then I need to get a better picture.

Whats New for August?
Wow it has been over a week. I am busy getting ready for back to school, as well as Harvest Fest. I decided to focus on a baby basket complete with Blanket, Homemade of course. Here is what I am working on....
Yea I know it isn't to crisp. I got the Pattern from Bev's Country Cottage. A wonderful lady who does lots of charity work and with a bunch of free patterns on her site. Here is the pattern for this blanket.
Although I have to admit mine don't look like this exactly, so I must of done something different w/o realizing...Ya know, one of those pleasant surprises? :-) But it still works. Worse comes to worse I have another blanket I made last yr some time that was packed away, I will use that if this turns out to be horrible,,,LOL.
On another note I saw a Carol Duvall episode recently that showed a clay artist making these bowls. I thought I could do that with polymer on a smaller scale, so I did. VIOLA!
Ok so they aren't the greatest, I mean you really can't put anything in them, but its a start. Maybe if I try to put some TLS in ? Hmmmmm, it is a thought. Well thats all for today. It has just been too hot to do anything really. I can't wait for school to start again just so I don't have to her them arguing and fighting no more....
